Our vision is to elevate the quality of life in our desert community by providing arts, cultural, and educational experiences for all. We believe in drawing from the theatre’s rich history and restoring it as a hub for creativity and connection that will enrich the cultural fabric of our desert community.
Donor support has been vital in restoring the theatre, which will boost local tourism. Thanks to our early founders, we were able to restore our beautiful theater in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. Generally, ticket sales cover only about one-third to one-half of a theater's annual operating budget, so the rest needs to come from your memberships, philanthropy, and other sources.

WHERE THE HEART OF PALM SPRINGS TAKES CENTER STAGE, SINCE 1936
Since its inception, The Plaza Theatre has served as both the physical and metaphorical heart of Palm Springs. Over the decades, the building deteriorated and closed its doors in 2014. The Plaza Theatre Foundation has since spearheaded its restoration and the highly anticipated Grand Reopening is set for December 2025!
