Multi-Grammy winning pianist, vocalist, and composer Eliane Elias brings the warmth and elegance of Brazil to the stage in The Soul of Bossa Nova. With her luminous voice, virtuosic piano, and signature style, she reimagines classics like "The Girl from Ipanema" and "Desafinado," alongside fresh Bossa Nova takes on jazz standards such as "Come Fly With Me." Joined by acclaimed bassist Marc Johnson and Brazilian percussionist Rafael Barata, Eliane creates an evening of groove, sophistication, and pure joy.  

Born in Brazil and based in New York, she excels at blending her Brazilian roots with jazz and classical influences. Her distinctive style is immediately recognizable and has earned her critical praise, an international following and multiple accolades and awards.  

She’s a prodigious pianist whose work has included virtuosic instrumental recordings – including critically praised duets with Chick Corea, Chucho Valdes and Herbie Hancock – as well as beautiful tributes to her Brazilian heritage, which have also featured her lyrical and sumptuous singing. Her reimagined classics from the genre's titans like Antônio Carlos Jobim and João Gilberto resonate with the spirit of American audiences’ first introduction to jazz blended with Bossa Nova through the legendary mid-century collaborations of Jobim and Stan Getz.
