Celebrate the grand reopening of the historic Plaza Theatre with Palm Springs Icons, an unforgettable one-night-only tribute to the legendary artists, entertainers, and visionaries who helped shape the cultural soul of Palm Springs. 

Created exclusively for The Plaza by Scott Coulter’s Spot-On Entertainment, this elegant evening blends live music, video moments, storytelling, and special appearances—all honoring the inaugural class of Palm Springs Icons. The event will be hosted by the renowned Billy Stritch, the acclaimed composer, arranger, vocalist, and jazz pianist. 

Proceeds from the night benefit Arts Teach Kids, supporting arts access and education for young people across the Coachella Valley. 

2025 Honorees 

Lucie Arnaz – Emmy-winning producer, actress, and beloved star of Here’s Lucy and Broadway hits including They’re Playing Our Song and Pippin. 

Michael Childers – Internationally acclaimed photographer and producer whose work spans film, fashion, fine art, and Palm Springs cultural history. 

Paul Feig – DGA-winning and Emmy-nominated filmmaker behind Bridesmaids, Spy, Ghostbusters, A Simple Favor, and the upcoming The Housemaid. 

Michael Holmes & The Purple Room – Entertainer and impresario known for The Judy Show and for reviving Palm Springs’ iconic Rat Pack–era supper club. 

Larry Luckinbill – Tony-nominated, Emmy-winning actor, playwright, and director celebrated for his one-man shows and his role in Star Trek V. 

Trixie Mattel – Global drag superstar, chart-topping musician, bestselling author, and cosmetics mogul. 

Brian Ray – Acclaimed guitarist, songwriter, and longtime member of Paul McCartney’s touring band. 

Frank Sinatra – The enduring Palm Springs legend whose impact on the city’s culture remains unmatched.
