The Plaza Theatre Begins Sneak Peek of 2026-2027 Season Historic Palm Springs Venue Showcasing Diverse Range of Performances
PALM SPRINGS, CA (March 9, 2026) – The Historic Plaza Theatre today revealed an early preview of its 2026-27 Season, highlighting a diverse line up of programming for all ages and signaling a vibrant new chapter for the beloved historic venue. The sneak peeks continue, with more exciting shows announced weekly throughout March and April.

Tickets for all shows begin pre-sales on Wednesday, March 11 to Plaza Theatre Donors and Members with the public on sale scheduled for Friday, March 13th at 10:00 a.m. PST via palmspringsplazatheatre.com.
“bare” – An immersive artistic celebration of the male body, November 5, 2026
Pulitzer Prize-nominated artist/photojournalist/filmmaker Robin Layton presents her newest book, “bare.” The project features 52 men photographed nude, many in Palm Springs, celebrating bodies of all shapes, ethnicities, and identities, both queer and straight, and everything in between. In this immersive visual event, Todd Boston, Billboard Top Ten Guitarist/Multi-Instrumentalist, will be playing live in front of Layton's artwork and videos.

On the coast of Cornwall, a band of tenderhearted pirates celebrates the coming of age of Frederic, who was mistakenly apprenticed to the pirates until his 21st birthday. Now, Frederic has vowed to devote his life to the extermination of piracy - until a ludicrous leap year snag threatens to keep him apprenticed to the pirates for life! Throw in a bevy of beauties, a brash Pirate King, the delightfully stuffy Major-General Stanley and you’ve got what The New York Times calls “An endearing production with high musical standards and spirited performances."
